Blue Unveil Promo Video For Eurovision Entry ‘I Can’

British boy band Blue have released a promo video for the official UK Eurovision entry, ‘I Can’. The song is the first release from the group since they announced their return to music earlier this year.

The band split in 2005, releasing their last album ‘Guilty’ in 2003. Impressively, they are potentially the only act to have ever released more Greatest Hits albums than actual releases, with four greatest hits albums to their three studio LP’s.

The video is intended as an inspirational boy band take on the song, depicting the band performing the song on top of a London roof. The video continues to show the group thrusting their hands in the air, hugging and generally posing to their heart’s content next to some minor special effects.

The more cynical viewers have been quick to pair the video with a sketch from Charlie Brooker’s ‘How TV Ruined You Life’, which created a fictional cliché group a few weeks ago and filmed a fake music video...posing on top of a London roof.

The 2011 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 14th in Germany.
