Producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Francis Neve releases his new single ‘Winterbury’ on March 28th, the follow up to his acclaimed debut single, ‘Brian’s Drying Up.’
Featuring special guest vocalist and live favourite, Lucy Randell, ‘Winterbury’ is a stripped down and introspective duet documenting the moment the cracks start to appear in a relationship. “It has a sentiment that most of us can relate to, in one way or another,” says Francis. “Lucy puts things so simply and to the point that it ends up being a really emotional performance. We captured something very special here.”
‘Winterbury’ is taken from last year’s mini album, ‘The Second Time We First Met’ – an intimate collection of emotive lo-fi pop, narrating the lifespan of a relationship, which has won over fans everywhere from Clash and Music Week to This Is Fake DIY and oursleves here at Stereoboard.
Francis and band can currently be found playing across London at some of the capital’s finest venues. The last month has seen him play East End’s Strong Rooms, and an opening slot for Spokes at High Street Kensington’s AAA. In March he returns to the Best of Myspace night at the Bull & Gate (March 2nd) and Camden’s legendary Dublin Castle on March 7th. More dates to be announced.
‘Winterbury’ is out March 28. The album ‘The Second Time We First Met’ is OUT NOW!
