Gwyneth Paltrow is lined up to appear with ‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison on his debut album. The singer, who plays teacher Will Schuester in the hit US show, is scheduled to release his eponymous debut album in the UK on May 9th.
The pair will be performing on the Eva Cassidy favourite ‘Over The Rainbow’, which Morrison has performed during his extended stint on the American show. Speaking about the track, Morrison told EW: "People kind of know me for that song now. I wanted to do a duet with a female. I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it. It's a lot of strings, and it's beautiful."
During the interview Morrison also revealed that he asked Paltrow to perform on the LP during her first appearance on ‘Glee’. The actress has proved incredibly popular with fans for her portrayal of substitute teacher Holly Holiday: she returned to the show earlier this year and has already been confirmed for a third appearance.
Speaking about the collaboration, Morrison said: "The hardest part of doing this album was asking these people favours, like Elton [John] and her. I'm so not that guy."
Meanwhile, Paltrow is reported to have signed her own record contract with a major record label for an undisclosed amount following the success of her performances on ‘Glee’ and the Osscar nominated ‘Country Strong’.
