American rapper Lil Wayne has announced a show at Live At The Marquee, Cork on Monday 4th July 2011. Check back to Stereoboard.com for the possible announcment of more shows!
Having been freed from jail late last year, Lil Wayne has unveiled the video for his first single since his return to music. The rapper launched the video for ‘6 Foot 7 Foot’, the first track to be taken from his upcoming ninth studio album, ‘The Carter IV’.
Produced by Bangladesh (of ‘A Milli’ fame) and featuring a contribution from Cory Gunz, the single is a jump back into Lil Wayne’s more asinine lyrics, embracing the absurd with an ‘Inception’-themed video. Directed by Hype Williams, the video embraces its own lack of plot, seemingly becoming just a sequence of random and distinct images. You can watch the video for '6 Foot 7 Foot' below.
Meanwhile, Lil Wayne announced last week that he will be releasing his new album ‘Tha Carter IV’ on May 16th.
