Kasabian Pair Set to DJ London Super-Club Proud2

Kasabian’s Tom Meighan is teaming up with the band’s tour DJ Dan Ralph Martin to play a mega-party at London’s Proud2 club on April 2nd.

Known for his energy fuelled live performances and outspoken attitude, Kasabian front man Tom Meighan’s forthright role takes a similar direction behind the decks. Now alongside close friend and Kasabian tour DJ Dan Ralph Martin, Meighan is set to bring his unstoppable swagger to Proud2 for the first exclusive DJ set since playing for the official launch of rock ’n’ roll comrade Liam Gallagher’s Pretty Green clothing line.

Joining Meighan will be the creative mind behind the band’s ultimate behind- the-scenes soundtrack - Dan Ralph Martin. There from the very beginning, Dan has provided the musical accompaniment to Kasabian’s journey on the road from dressing rooms to tour buses and studio inspiration. Having built-up sets at Kasabian’s most memorable live performances, his talent and know-how of picking up the pace to massive arena crowds of over 22,000 at Earls Court,Wembley, NEC and the Manchester Arena, and numerous European dates spanning France, Belgium, Holland, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Ibiza, will be making its premier appearance at the 3,000 capacity venue.

As well as being the bands tour DJ, Dan Ralph Martin also features on the Kasabian albums playing drums on Kasabian self-titled debut L.S.F and Cutt Off, as well featuring playing piano on Happiness and guitar on Fast Fuse on the bands number one selling record West Ryder Lunatic Asylum. Dan has DJ’ed at a number of high profile parties and after shows including the Maxim Awards, performing alongside Oasis DJ Phil Smith and a set with Kasabian's own Sergio Pizzorno at Ibiza Rocks who describes him as,"Simply put, my favourite DJ".

Fans can expect a spectrum of sounds as the two play hits from The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Incredible Bongo Band, Chemical Brothers, James Brown, The Prodigy, Manfred Mann, , The Kinks, Small Faces, Ike and Tina, Primal Scream, The Doors, The Who, The Stooges, Marsha Hunt, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Joy Division, The Cure, Booker T and the MGs, The Specials, White Stripes, Curtis Mayfield, MIA, Hot Chip, The Four Tops, Frankie Valli, Gil Scott Heron, The Arctic Monkeys, Jeff Beck, Gorillaz, Led Zeppelin, Justice, Lou Reed, Marlena Shaw, Otis Redding, Parliament, Pink Floyd, MGMT, Mark Ronson, and of course Kasabian.
