Anyone looking for a festival they can attend on a lower budget, with just as much fun as the bigger summer events, need look no further than Oxfordshire’s Truck Festival.
Set up in 1998 Truck brings together all the things you love about festivals and boasts an impressive line up of established names alongside plenty of lesser known bands to discover over the three days.
Running from 22-24th July at Hill Farm Steventon, the likes of Gruff Rhys, Bellowhead, Graham Coxon, The Go! Team, Edwyn Collins and Saint Etienne have already been confirmed while many will be discovering bands such as Sea of Bees and Cherry Ghost for the first time.
Taking the best ideas from its bigger budget peers, such as Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds, Truck also features comedy, cinema, cabaret and theatre as well as a dedicated family field for those who want to start their kids' festival experience without the concerns of 100,000 people stomping between stages.
The Bennett family started the festival 13 years ago and created the Truck Records label in 1999. The unique main stage is constructed using three large flatbed trucks and with an attendance of around 5,000 offers you everything you would get at a bigger festival on a smaller scale.
With weekend adult tickets still available and costing just £99, anyone who’s thinking the cost of the major festivals is too much this year and is looking for a new experience need look no further.
