Download Festival 2011 Announces Details Of Jagermeister Rock Truck Intimate Performances

With less than 5 weeks to go until the mighty Download Festival opens its gates for another year, Download organisers are giving rock fans the chance to catch some fantastic acts in an intimate, acoustic setting hosted by Jägermeister right in the heart of the festival.

Back by popular demand for the third year running, the Jäger Rock Truck presents its very own acoustic stage in a converted ex-military 25 tonne beast of a truck with a line up not to be missed.

Over the course of the weekend, acts including American pop-punk band Bowling For Soup, Brit hard-rockers SKIN, London’s own Slaves to Gravity and fresh from their UK tour, Heaven’s Basement will all take to the stage to warm up the crowds at Download.

Organisers also have also signed up the likes of Hyro Da Hero, Royal Republic, Million $ Reload, The Morning After plus many more, all of which will be performing acoustic sets on the stage across the weekend - make sure you check it out!

Additionally, Download Festival are pleased to announce the return of Download FM, powered by the award-winning Rock Radio for the third year running.

The station will broadcast to the thousands of music fans descending on Donington for the legendary festival, as well as those listening to the service worldwide online and through apps.

Following on from last year’s successful competition to host your own show on Download FM, another festival goer will get the chance, this June, to take control of the mic and present their very own radio show - stay tuned to the Download Festival Website for full details very soon.

"The whole team at Rock Radio are busy gearing up for our third year broadcasting on Download FM," said Rock Radio's Ciaran O’Toole. "The station will add to the overall festival experience with all the latest news and information wrapped around the music of the acts playing live at the festival."

"With two years' experience under our belts, we are extremely well placed to broadcast Download FM for 2011."

Not long now until Download brings the noise to Donington - are you ready for the chaos?!
