Texan post-rockers Explosions in the Sky have revealed plans to play a show at London's Brixton O2 Academy on January 27th 2012.
Explosions in the Sky were formed in Austin, Texas in 1999 and are made up of Mark Smith (guitar), Chris Hrasky (drums), Munaf Rayani (guitar) and Michael James (bass/guitar). They released their debut album ‘How Strange, Innocence’ in 2000 and in 2004 they wrote and recorded the score to the film ‘Friday Night Lights’ starring Billy Bob Thornton.
The band released their sixth album ‘Take Care, Take Care, Take Care’, the long-awaited follow-up to 2007’s ‘All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone’, last month on April 18th.
