Willie Nelson Announces New Album 'Dream Chaser', Shares Title Track

Willie Nelson has announced a new album.
The 92-year-old country icon will release 'Dream Chaser' through Legacy Recordings on May 29, following up last year's 'Workin' Man: Willie Sings Merle' and ''Oh What a Beautiful World'. It'll mark his 79th solo studio album and his 156th overall.
Comprising 10 songs, the album continues Nelson’s long‑time creative collaboration with producer and co‑writer Buddy Cannon and explores themes of relationships, personal growth and life on the road. It also features a new track with Bob Dylan, I Can’t Read Your Mind, marking their first songwriting effort together since the 1993 album 'Across The Borderline'.
Alongside the announcement, Nelson has shared the record's title track and its lead single, an acoustic country ballad co-written with Cannon and Bobby Tomberlin.
News of the album comes as Nelson plays his first show of 2026 tonight (March 19) at the Luck Reunion in Spicewood, Texas, alongside Booker T. Jones, Trampled by Turtles, and St. Vincent. He'll also embark on a short US tour in April and May.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (March 20), except for his show in New Braunfels, Texas, which is on sale now.
Nelson recently contributed a song titled Heart Of America to the soundtrack for The Gray House, Amazon Prime's new limited Civil War series.
