Jon Fratelli to Release New Single ‘Baby, We’re Refugees!’ in July

Former Fratellis frontman Jon Fratelli is to release a new single entitled ‘Baby, We’re Refugees!’ on 11th July – the same day as his debut solo album ‘Psycho Jukebox’. Fratelli recently announced plans to embark on a solo career with the release of his previous single ‘Santo Domingo’ in February. He will also be playing a couple of live dates in Preston and York next week – see below for dates and tickets. In addition to his own headlining shows, Fratelli will be performing at a number of festivals over the coming months, including T In The Park, Intro Festival in Middlesbrough, London’s Godiva Festival and Prestonpans Music Festival in Scotland.
Speaking about the new single, Jon Fratelli said: “‘…Refugees!’ was the last song I wrote for the album and we recorded it at the eleventh hour, but it’s one of my favourites.”
Fratelli recorded his debut solo album ‘Psycho Jukebox’ at The Sound Factory in Los Angeles with producer Tony Hoffer, who he last worked with on the Fratellis’ debut album ‘Costello Music’ in 2006. ‘Psycho Jukebox’ is the first album that Fratelli has done since his work with Codeine Velvet Club, a duo he formed with singer-songwriter Lou Hickey after the break-up of The Fratellis in 2009.
