Rock Radio To Host Sonisphere Radio At Knebworth!

For the first time in its history, Sonisphere will have an on-site radio station at this year’s festival at Knebworth, hosted by Rock Radio.

Rock Radio is looking forward to delivering the first RSL radio station to broadcast at the acclaimed Sonisphere Festival. Sonisphere Radio will be broadcast on an RSL (restricted service licence) and will be heard by festival goers throughout Knebworth on FM, while simultaneously streaming online worldwide for more fans of the Sonisphere festivals to listen in. 
 
Brand Manager for Rock Radio, Ciaran O’Toole said, “At Rock Radio we are passionate about bringing listeners the best when it comes to the music they love and working with the team at Sonisphere will ensure we deliver something special for festival goers attending Knebworth in July. It’s going to be a fantastic challenge delivering Sonisphere Radio for the first time, but I know we will create something that makes for an even better festival experience for Sonisphere fans.”

Sonisphere Radio will be available on 87.9FM in Knebworth in surrounding areas from noon on Wednesday 6th July until noon on Monday 11th July - from the time you pitch your tent to the time it all comes down.
 
In addition to this, the Rock Radio team will be travelling with Sonisphere as it rolls across Europe, capturing the action as it unfolds at each destination with breaking news, daily round-ups and backstage interviews. This content will be exclusively available on the festival’s official website and mobile applications, allowing fans to follow Sonisphere wherever they are.
 
Rock Radio is available in Glasgow on 96.3 FM and Manchester on 106.1 FM. North East, Scotland, Wales & Yorkshire on DAB. Worldwide online & Apple/Android Apps.
