N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos has spoken up about her upcoming role on the judges panel of the UK version of ‘The X Factor’, admitting that she is “really nervous” about taking over Cheryl Cole’s position on the hit singing talent show.
The N-Dubz star began filming for the series in Birmingham last week alongside US singer Kelly Rowland, Take That’s Gary Barlow and veteran of the show Louis Walsh. Speaking to Heart Magazine about her role on the show, Tulisa said: “I’m really nervous. I’ve had mixed emotions this week. I feel pressure.”
However, Tulisa was keen to reply to the many fans who have claimed that she hasn’t earned a position on the judge’s panel. Speaking out against the critics, she said: “I’m involved in the writing, producing and singing, so it’s not like I’ve had a couple of hits and that’s it.”
Meanwhile, if certain tabloid reports are to believed, ex-judge Cheryl Cole has decided to ended her friendship with Simon Cowell permanently. According to The Sun today (June 8th), Cole has cut off all ties with the music entrepreneur after being sacked from the upcoming US version of the show.
A source supposedly close to the singer quoted her as saying: "If he thinks we are going to be friends he can forget it.", adding: "Cheryl trusted him implicitly and she doesn't do that with many people. He made a mockery of their friendship so now it's dead in the water."
