James Blake Added To The Big Chill Line-Up

James Blake has been added to the line-up for this year’s The Big Chill Festival. The London-based singer is set to effectively open the event on the Thursday night– a newly-introduced “bonus night” addition to the long-standing festival.
Blake has had critical acclaim heaped on him by the bucketload after the release of his eponymous debut LP earlier this year, as he quickly became known for his subtle bass frequencies, classically-trained vocals and tasteful use of auto-tune technology. He is scheduled to perform on the Deer Park Stage at the festival, which runs from August 4th-7th in Eastnor Park, Herefordshire.
Also set to perform at The Big Chill this year are a number of high-profile acts including Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Jamie Woon and Empire Of The Sun. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
Meanwhile, Blake is set to embark on a lengthy world tour soon, beginning with a UK jaunt which starts in Birmingham this evening (8th June). The ‘Limit To Your Love’ singer will go on to play a string of European dates before touring Australia, North America and then Japan, where his last scheduled show will take place in Nagoya on 14th October.
