Deftones are an American alternative metal band from Sacremento, California, consisting of Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, Frank Delgado, and Sergio Vega, who replaced the late Chi Cheng.
Formed in 1988, the band released their debut album, ‘Adrenaline’ in 1995, followed by ‘Around the Fur’ in 1997 and ‘White Pony’ in 2000, which hit #3 in the Billboard Hot 200. The band’s self-titled album in 2003, performed even better reaching #2 in the chart. ‘Saturday Night Wrist’ came out in 2006, with ‘Diamond Eyes’, hitting shelves in 2010 and ‘Koi No Yokan’ in 2012. The band’s latest album, ‘Gore’, was released in 2016, and became the band’s second highest charting record. Deftones returned to the UK and Europe in spring 2017, and then co-headlined a North America tour with Rise Against. 2018 sees them headlining a show they're curating alongside Future, Mike Shinoda, Rocket From The Crypt, Ho99o9, Doja Cat, and Vein and Vowws.
