Justin Timberlake ‘More Likely To Tour Than Record’

Thursday, 09 June 2011 Written by James Conlon

Justin Timberlake has claimed that he is more likely to plan another World tour than record a new album in the near future. Speaking to Vanity Fair, the singer and ‘Bad Teacher’ actor stated that his return to music would be more likely to occur as a live musician than as a recording artist.

Timberlake released his second LP ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ in 2006, reaching Number One in the UK and US and selling thousands of tickets on his successful world tour to occompany the album. However, when asked if he had future recording plans, the singer said: "I really don't know. I wouldn't say I'm not going to put out another one. I would say that would be a bad bet, if you were betting. But I could see myself only doing one more big tour."

Timberlake, who has appeared in ‘Bad Teacher’ and the hugely successful Facebook film ‘The Social Network’ since his departure from music, went on to say that his priority at the moment is to “not have a schedule”.

He said: "Right now, I'm not in the mood to work. I want to not have a schedule. I want to go to the Dodgers game if I feel like it. 'Hey, do you guys want to play basketball today? Cool, let's do that'. I've never really given myself the opportunity to be spontaneous.”

"I figure I can go on like this until the end of the year. I don't have anything I have to do. The only job I have to do is promote the films that are coming out, and I'm really looking forward to that. It will be fun. I'll get to go to a bunch of countries, hang out."
