90s post-grungers Switchfoot have announced five live UK shows for November.
Switchfoot have a lot to look back on since forming in San Diego back in 1996. Since then they've gone on to play many world tours and notched up five albums, as well as appearing on the soundtrack to the 2002 film 'A Walk To Remember'.
Switchfoot – comprising Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar) – has sold over 4.4 million albums in its career. The band released three independent records before its breakthrough album, 2003’s The Beautiful Letdown, which was certified multi-Platinum. Each of the band’s subsequent studio albums – 2005’s Nothing Is Sound, 2006’s Oh! Gravity and 2009’s Hello Hurricane – debuted in the Top 20 of The Billboard 200 and elicited critical acclaim. Highly-anticipated release Vice Verses coming soon.
Switchfoot are currently working on their next studio project, expected to be titled 'Vice Verses'. According to band drummer Chad Butler, the core of the record will rest thematically in the idea of the polarity of life. A release date of September 20th is set, with 'Dark Horses' slated to hit radio as the lead single in August.
