US folk rockers Blind Pilot have announced that they will be visiting the UK next month for a couple of festival appearances. The band will be performing at Hop Farm Festival near Tunbridge Wells in Kent on Saturday 2nd July, the day Morrissey is topping the bill, before heading into London for Hyde Park’s Wireless Festival the following day. They have also confirmed details of a headlining show at London’s Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on Tuesday 5th July to coincide with the two festival dates. Blind Pilot have recently completed work on their second album - the follow-up to their 2008 debut ‘3 Rounds and a Sound’. More details are expected soon.
In 2008, Blind Pilot released their debut album ‘3 Rounds and a Sound’, which reached Number 13 on the Billboard Top Digital Albums Chart. The single ‘Go On, Say It’ became a Single of the Week on Apple’s iTunes Store, reaching Number 6 on their Most Downloaded Chart. During the same year, the band made headlines when they toured the west coast of the US on bicycles.
Blind Pilot’s forthcoming UK shows follow their visit in March, when they supported fellow Oregon folksters The Decemberists on tour.
