Richmond Fontaine Announce New Single, UK Tour Dates & Tickets

US alt-country band Richmond Fontaine have revealed details of a new single entitled ‘Lost in the Trees’, which is due for release on 29th August. The track is the first single to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘The High Country’ – the band’s tenth to date and the follow-up to 2009’s ‘We Used to Think the Freeway Sounded Like a River’.

Richmond Fontaine will be playing a number of acoustic festival performances in July followed by a tour in September, where the band will be performing their new album as well as 2004’s ‘Post to Wire’ in full. See below for all dates and tickets. On Thursday 21st July, the band will be playing a single launch show for ‘Lost in the Trees’ at Prince Charles Cinema in London entitled ‘An Evening of Film and Music curated by Richmond Fontaine’. The show will include an acoustic set from the band, the premiere of the ‘Lost in the Trees’ video and a screening of David Lynch’s 1986 film ‘Blue Velvet’.

In addition to his work with Richmond Fontaine, frontman Willy Vlautin has written three critically-acclaimed novels, ‘The Motel Life’, ‘Northline’ and ‘Lean on Pete’. ‘The Motel Life’ has recently been made into a motion picture starring Dakota Fanning, Stephen Dorff, Emile Hersch and Kris Kristofferson. The film is expected to be released in early 2012.
