Legendary American funk bassist, singer-songwriter, Bootsy Collins, who recently released his new album 'Tha Funk Capitol of the World' to rave reviews, will perform his only UK concert of 2011 at the London indigO2 on Monday July 11th.
The new album features guest performances from Snoop Dogg, George Clinton, Ice Cube, Chuck D and Samuel L. Jackson, and many more and is Bootsy's first new studio album of original funk material since 2002's 'Play With Bootsy'. The album artwork also features a dazzling 3D lenticular sleeve!
Rising to prominence playing bass guitar for James Brown in the late 1960s, and with Parliament Funkadelic in the 1970s, Bootsy's thunderous, infectious bass guitar and humorous vocals established him as one of the leading pioneers in funk. In 1997 Collins, along with 15 other members of Parliament Funkadelic, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
