Van Halen Bringing World Tour to UK

American rock supergroup Van Halen are preparing a UK tour for early 2012, to coincide with what will be their 11th studio album.

Eddie Van Halen and the band have been working on a new album since as far back as 2008, but will reportedly release their album later this year in November - although no official release date has been set. And as part of rock tradition, the band will embark on a long global tour, called the worldwide Soundwave Revolution tour, which will see them playing in the US, Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. They are expected to be touring until mid-2012.

With five dates already currently scheduled for Australia this September/October, the hard-rockers are looking like they’re putting on one of the biggest upcoming tours of the coming year, and could be setting themselves up for major festival appearances next summer. It is currently unknown when the band will touch down in the UK, but news and details are expected to be announced in the very near future – keep up-to-date on Van Halen tour news and tickets with Stereoboard.com

Confirmed Australian dates are below.

September 24 – Brisbane
September 25 – Sydney
September 30 – Melbourne
October 01 – Adelaide
October 03 – Perth
