Rebecca Black has released the follow-up to her debut YouTube sensation ‘Friday’. The young singer unveiled her second single ‘My Moment’ yesterday, a ballad which sees Black show more of a vocal range than in her previous viral hit.
Black’s debut song was the first to reveal Ark Music Factory to the world, a company which allows teenagers to record their own song and music video for a set amount of money. The song quickly went viral, being parodied by many artists and even featured in an episode of hit US singing show ‘Glee’.
‘My Moment’ has been written by Brandon 'Blue' Hamilton, who has previously worked with Justin Bieber and produced by Charlton Pettus, who has worked with Hilary Duff.
The song has already received over 19,000 views in less than 12 hours, with fans offering a generally mixed response on the video sharing site. One listener was quick to criticise Black, saying: “Can we just get to the end of her 15 moments of fame already??”, while another listener said: “If Justin Bieber had sung this it would've gone number 1 and you all know it.”
