Skrillex lovers in the UK are in for a real dubstep-ing treat this November – the long-haired producer will be taking Flux Pavilion, the bass-face inducing Koan Sound and Spor’s 130-140bpm pseudonym Feed Me with him for us British excursion.
As part of Skrillex’s six-show UK Mothership tour, fans will be presented with some Britain’s original and pioneering DJs and producers prior to the ex-From First to Last frontman’s headline slots. If any of Skrillex’s UK based fans are new to dubstep, they have a real present waiting for them at the up and coming gigs.
Flux Pavilion is a real talent in the dubstep production world who has been enjoying real success following the release of his single ‘Bass Cannon’, which managed to reach #56 in the UK charts and was A-listed by Radio 1. He co-runs Circus Records with fellow dubstep-bigwig Doctor P.
Bristol-based production team Koan Sound have been consistently putting out top notch tunes for the past couple of years, and helped turn dubstep into what it is today. Watching Koan Sound will be a music lesson for some of the less-experienced ravers on the trip!
Feed Me is drum and bass heavyweight Spor’s Electro-house moniker which has taken off since his debut in winter 2010. Fans should prepare for beeps, lasers and bouncy tunes which will get the crowd moving with ease.
Skrillex said about the tour: “This is going to be an incredible tour, I wanted a diverse line-up and I wanted to showcase great music, great people, and great times!” With the announcement of his support acts, it looks like this is exactly what he is doing.
