Cher Lloyd Previews New Album Online – Listen Now

Saturday, 30 July 2011 Written by James Conlon

Cher Lloyd has previewed five new tracks from her upcoming LP during a special online listening party. The former ‘X Factor’ contestant previewed songs from her upcoming album on Thursday (June 28th) to fans on Ustream.

Tracks unveiled included 'With Ur Love', 'Dub On The Track', 'Superhero' and 'Over The Moon' during the half hour live video interview with fans. Lloyd also previewed ‘Grow Up’, the most rap-heavy track out of the batch which also features the vocal talents of Busta Rhymes. Talking about collaborating with the American rapper, Lloyd revealed that the pair never actually met during the recording process.

However, she went on to discuss the rapper, continuing: “...but he got played the track and really liked it and being Busta it didn't take him long to just jump on it.”

Lloyd also discussed the dance and dubstep backdrop which seems to occupy most of the LP. She claimed that the album isn’t as “crazy” as it could have been, claiming that she held back for the pop market. Lloyd said: "Obviously I didn't go full out on the whole dancehall thing, I could have been a lot more crazy."
