Alkaline Trio’s Dan Andriano to Release Debut Solo Album Ahead of Autumn Acoustic Dates

Sunday, 31 July 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Alkaline Trio bassist and vocalist Dan Andriano is to release the debut album from his side project Dan Andriano In The Emergency Room on 15th August. The album is entitled ‘Hurricane Season’ and is Andiano’s first solo release. In September and October, Andriano will be joining former Hot Water Music frontman Chuck Ragan and The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon for The Revival Tour – An Acoustic Collaborative Event. See below for all dates and tickets.

Dan Andriano joined US punk rockers Alkaline Trio in 1997 to replace founding member Rob Doran. He has appeared on all eight of the band’s albums released to date. In July, Alkaline Trio released an acoustic album entitled ‘Damnesia’, which featured unplugged versions of tracks taken from their back catalogue. It follows last year’s ‘This Addiction’ – the band’s most recent original work.

Andriano is the latest member of Alkaline Trio to embark on a solo project following the band’s frontman Matt Skiba, who has previously toured and released music as a solo artist. Alkaline Trio last toured the UK last summer before their headlining performances on the Lock Up Stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals, where their set coincided with a typically controversial appearance from Guns N’ Roses.
