Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Grizzly Bear Appear For ‘Watch The Throne’ Debut

Wednesday, 03 August 2011 Written by James Conlon

Musicians have flocked out to support Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative LP ‘Watch The Throne’. The album was unveiled recently in a New York planetarium, where a specially selected audience including Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Busta Rhymes and indie rockers Grizzly Bear were treated to the album before media representatives.

The duo, who have chosen to be collectively known as The Throne, recorded the album over several months in sessions all across the world. The pair recorded in Los Angeles, (Russell Crowe’s house in) Australia, Bath and they also occupied a whole floor of a New York hotel to finish the project.

The Throne are set to release their debut LP ‘Watch The Throne’ on August 8th. You can listen to their current single ‘Otis’ at the bottom of this article.

Meanwhile, the pair were forced to delay their autumn US tour by over a month yesterday (August 2nd), but have both been keen to deny that the delay is because of budget or aesthetic differences. Speaking about the reports, Jay-Z said yesterday: “Yes, we get on each other's nerves, but that's part of pushing each other. We push each other. So of course there are times when we're in the studio, we're yelling, but that's about it. I would never disrespect that man. I have so much respect for him.”
