Eccentric star Lady Gaga has admitted that she was left Speechless by Amy Winehouse’s death two weeks ago, describing herself as ‘devastated’.
The ‘Telephone’ singer was on television show The View when they began talking of the late singer’s tragic death, which still remains unsolved. She revealed that the death had had a great impact on her and that she was disappointed in the way the media have dealt with the case.
“I'm just so devastated and sad,” said Gaga. “I couldn't speak for like 48 hours straight, I was just so sad.”
“You know I just think the most unfortunate thing is how the media spins things. It was like 'what can we learn from Amy's passing?' I don't feel like Amy needed to learn any lessons.
“I felt like the world needed to learn how to be kinder to the superstar. Everybody was so hard on her. All I knew about her was she was the nicest, kindest woman.”
“It's a very lonely life but it's what we loved about her. You can't have someone singing about heartbreak and the blues and then for them not to be heartbroken.”
Lady Gaga will be going on world tour next year - no dates have been confirmed yet but they are expected to be released soon. Stay with Stereoboard for fresh Lady Gaga news.
