Cher Lloyd Begs Internet Haters To Lay Off Her

Ahead of her debut single’s efforts of reaching number one this weekend, Swagger Jagger singer Cher Lloyd has revealed that she isn’t enjoying the popstar life as much as she’d hoped she would.

Her internet haters have been getting the better of her and have upset the X-Factor finalist so much that she blubbed about it to KISS FM’s James Merritt.

“This,” said the young star, “is what upsets me a lot and makes me think I don’t even want to do this anymore.

“I was delusional, because as a little girl I thought that I would become a pop star and everyone would love me and I’d have the best life ever. I’m not saying that I don’t have the best life ever but it’s been so tough.”

“I think people should try to give me a break because I don’t think they understand what they’re doing to me.

She then went on to speak about the abuse that she had been receiving through social networking site Twitter.

“There are old men out there that are writing on my Twitter, saying abusive things. They’ve probably got daughters and how would they feel if their daughter was in my position. They wouldn’t like an old man talking to her like that would they?”

The singer has only been part of the music scene for a short while, and is yet to officially release her debut album – her first ever single only came out on Sunday. So either Cher is getting a torrent of abuse already, or perhaps Lloyd is simply not cut out to be a popstar. Either way, though, something tells me she won’t be giving up the career any time soon.
