Lady Gaga Looking To Play Amy Winehouse In Biopic?

Lady Gaga is keen to play Amy Winehouse in a Hollywood biopic concerning the late singer’s career and personal difficulties, if tabloid reports are to be believed. The Daily Star has today claimed that Gaga is looking to portray Winehouse if a film adaptation of her life were to ever happen.
The paper quotes a 'Hollywood insider' as saying: “Lady Gaga worshipped Amy and would love nothing more than to transform herself into her idol on the big screen. She'd be spot on performing Amy's songs and has got the right look and bolshy attitude.”
They continued: “Gaga's been itching to make the transition from music into movies and sees this as the ideal role to launch her film career. Gaga's management team had been discussing possible film ventures before Amy's untimely death. But there’s only ever been one role she wants and that’s to play Amy.”
Although the reports may be a stretch, Gaga has previously declared her love for the ‘Back To Black’ star, claiming that she was "unable to speak for 48 hours" after hearing the news of Winehouse's death almost a fortnight ago.
No details of a biopic have been revealed as of yet, and there is zero evidence of any screenplay, studio names or any directors or producers who have expressed their dedication to such a project.
