October Set to be Full of Bedlam

October looks like it’ll be a crazy month for drum and bass, dubstep and grime lovers – as the Bedlam organisers schedule at least four of their energy-packed raves around the UK in the autumn month.

Cardiff has been given the task of kicking things off, with the massive event scheduled for the 1st of the month. On the decks will be dubstep duo Nero, the immensely popular Sub Focus, drum and bass genius Friction, dubstep bigwigs 16 bit and Wilkinson. Also involved is Skism, Zomboy, and a whole load of current unannounced names. As usual, it takes place in the Students Union in town and promises to be a huge night – where we’ll be hearing the new sound system for the first time.

The promoters then move on to Bedlam in Oxford, where chart-topper DJ Fresh will be joined by the purple-loving Joker, Friction, Wilkinson, Koan Sound, Cutline, Document One and Zomboy. More acts could be announced next week. Bedlam Oxford will be hosted by veteran MC AD, the lyrical MC Linguistics. You can catch this lot in Oxford’s 02 Academy on Friday the 14th of October.

Next up is Bristol, a home of sorts to dubstep and a big city for drum and bass either way. Bedlam Bristol has possibly the tastiest looking line-up, which will see Fresh, Coki ft. Trixx, Skism, TC, Phace, S.P.Y, Wilkinson, Roksonix and Jack Sparrow – MC Dread will be doing what he does best on the mic. If you like the sound of the line-up, and are local to Bristol, 21st of October is the date and Lakota is the place.

The day after Bristol, Bedlam with be tearing up one of its less-common locations Bournemouth. They’ll be getting an equally strong line-up though, with Nero performing a live set, accompanied by Joker, Friction, Shy FX, 16 Bit, Phace, Wilkinson and Document One. Again, this’ll be held in the 02 Academy in Bournemouth on the 22nd.

Tickets are currently on sale for both the Bournemouth and Oxford raves right now, Bristol’s should be on sale very shortly and Cardiff’s will follow suit.
