N-Dubz Tulisa: “I Want Dappy On ‘X Factor’”

Wednesday, 10 August 2011 Written by James Conlon

New ‘X Factor’ judge Tulisa Contostavlos has stated that she is "fighting" for her fellow N-Dubz star Dappy to appear on the singing competition. The singer is looking for her bandmate to join as a possible group mentour, no doubt giving him good television exposure for his upcoming solo LP.

Speaking to The Mirror, Contostavlos said: "I want him as a mentor for one of the groups. He will be so funny, out of control. I really want him involved. I don't know if it will happen but it's something I am fighting for. I think all the contestants will love him."

The ‘No Regrets’ rapper is said to have been banned from assisting at the Judges’ Houses stage by producers, however Tulisa is said to be defending her bandmate (and cousin) for the show, claiming that he would be a ‘funny’ and ‘loveable’ inclusion.

Contostavlos also went on to state that Take That singer Gary Barlow is her biggest competition on the new ‘X Factor’ judges panel. She said: "Gary is my biggest competition. Especially when it comes to speaking his mind. I thought I was bad, but Gary is the shocker. He is harsh. If they are shit he will tell you. He just amazes me with what he comes out with. With me it's Tulisa being Tulisa. Curbing Gary will be hard."
