Madonna Launches Competition As She Prepares To Announce 2012 World Tour

Superstar singer Madonna is launching a competition which will see one lucky fan join her on stage as a dancer for her 2012 world tour.

The ‘Vogue’ singer is teaming up with Smirnoff Vodka to host the competition, which will involve video auditions and a live final judged by Madonna herself. Fans will have to record a 60-second tape of them talking about themselves, before Madge selects the chosen few to join her at one of Smirnoff’s Nightlife Exchange parties on November 12th.

The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project will see 50 parties coinciding at the same time in different parts of the world on the 12th of November. Facebook users are being asked to share their nightlife experiences so Smirnoff can mould it’s parties into the most diverse shindigs of the year – but only one will feature a dance-off between hopefuls who want to be the dancer that shares the stage with Madonna.

“What attracted me to the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project,” Madonna said, “is the combination of participating in the celebration of nightlife around the world and the opportunity to discover the world's best unknown dancers.

“The best dancers are always in the clubs looking for the most original experience, just like Smirnoff is doing.”

And the beginning of the competition can only mean that the announcement of what is expected to be a 2012 world tour is round the corner. If you’re a Madonna fan, stay with Stereoboard and we’ll keep you updated on any Madonna tour news.

Banks - III (Album Review)
Fri 19 Jul 2019
‘III’, Banks’ appropriately titled third album, has been a short while in the making but feels like the culmination of the songwriter’s more ambitious work to this point. Five years since the release of her debut LP 'Goddess' the LA artist has shifted direction within her sound, infusing her synth-heavy trip-pop aesthetic with a jaded sense of heartbreak, maturity and raw passion.
