Indie rockers The Twang will be embarking on a UK tour this autumn, as the band prepare to release their third studio album.
The Brum-based five-piece will kick off their road-trip in Luton on September 23rd, and will then perform at 16 more venues until they conclude the tour in Manchester on October 22nd. Along the way the band will stop off in cities like London, their native Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Liverpool as they showcase their punk-influenced indie rock around the country.
Formed in 2001, The Twang consists of frontman Phil Etheridge, vocalist Martin Saunders, guitarist Joe Simcox, bassist Jon Watkins and Matty Clinton on the drums. They were once hailed by NME as Britains best new band, which led to them becoming one of the hottest properties on the indie scene they were hounded by labels across the land to sign a contract, before finally choosing to sign to indy label B Unique.
Two LPs, one EP and eight singles later, the band have a new line-up, new material ready for a currently-untitled third album, and a whole UK tour ahead of them. Heres how Clash Music described the band:
Theyve amassed a collection of towering choruses which should see them working their set into a hits-heavy monster, most of which are faster, funkier and as full-on as their demeanour.
