U2's Bono Tells Fans His Heart is "Absolutely Fine"

U2 rock icon Bono has spoken to the Daily Mirror about a health scare he suffered last month, after he was admitted to a French hospital on August 17th.

There were rumours the Irish vocalist and guitarist had experienced heart palpitations a short time after finishing the lucrative U2 360 world tour, and was taken to a hospital in Monaco. But, speaking from the GQ Men of the Year awards last night, Bono told the Daily Mirror that his heart was in perfect condition.

“My heart is absolutely fine, it’s perfect,” Bono claimed. “There was never anything wrong with it, touch wood. I’m fine, healthy and fighting fit. There’s no getting rid of me just yet.”

The band were at the award ceremony after they picked up ‘Band of the Year’ award, alongside Duran Duran who picked up the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award.
