With a reputation as one of the most prominent bands of the 1990s, The Lightning Seeds are to play UK shows in early 2012.
After taking an 'elongated break' at the end of the 1990s, the Lightning Seeds frontman Ian Broudie (pictured) decided to move into production as well as concentrating on solo work. 2006 saw the band reform and they have now revealed dates for UK shows in Liverpool and London in February 2012. More dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks!
The Lightning Seeds were originally a studio-based solo project for Broudie, however, after expanding into a touring band and following the success of 1994 album 'Jollification', the group became one of the most popular bands throughout the 1990s. You may recall the huge success they achieved with the well-known single 'Three Lions', a collaboration with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner which reached Number One in the UK in 1996 and 1998.
