‘I Need’ is the new single from Maverick Sabre, new leading artist in urban soul music in the UK. It follows the staggering success of debut single ‘Let Me Go’, a track that was the most played record on Radio 1 for two weeks following the massive support from the likes of Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe and Chris Moyles, as well as strong support from Mistajam over on 1Xtra.
‘I Need’ is a rich, stirring soul track that has already been Hottest Record In The World on Zane Lowe’s show. Featuring Maverick’s best vocal to date, lyrically its optimistic and hopeful, it’s a song that will hold a torch through the autumn and into winter, a burnished modern day blues track and another stellar example of this new force in credible UK pop music.

Recent sold-out shows at the 100 Club and Jazz Cafe have seen Maverick Sabre become an essential live act. He has toured with Snoop Dogg, as well as working with Professor Green (who he won an NME Award with for the track ‘Jungle’), Chase & Status and Cee-Lo Green. His songs are filtering through to the mainstream, with new fans in the likes of Katy B who recently covered ‘Let Me Go’ on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
Earlier this year he pulled out a show-stopping performance on Later With Jools Holland with his rendition of ‘I Used To Have It All’.
Remixes come from Cookie Monsta, Zed Bias, Brookes Brothers and Moto Blanco.
