Toronto-based alt-rock quintet Low Level Flight have released details of their new album ‘Through These Walls’, which is due for release on 31st October. The album is the follow-up to their 2007 debut ‘Urgency’. The band will be playing some live dates in the UK ahead of the album’s release – see below for tickets.
Speaking about ‘Through These Walls’, vocalist Ryan Malcolm said: “Writing comes for us rather quickly because we all bring our own sound to the table and it's incredibly complimentary. ‘Urgency’ was great, but I felt there could have been a more pointed direction. Some songs were heavy, some were melodic and others were dance rock. It's tricky but it did offer us cool and unique stance. ‘Through These Walls’ has a more persevering sound because its influences are streamlining through the members of the band.”
Malcolm founded Low Level Flight in 2006, three years after becoming the very first winner of Canadian Idol. Prior to forming the band, he had a short solo career, during which time he released the album ‘Home’, which reached Number 4 in the Canadian Albums Chart. Its lead single ‘Something More’ topped the Singles Chart for 14 consecutive weeks.
