Bring Me The Horizon Frontman Oli Sykes Attacked on Stage - Watch Now

Yorkshire-based scremo group Bring me the Horizon have always had a reputation as a bit of a marmite band, especially after frontman Oli Sykes was charged with urinating on a female fan after a gig in Nottingham a couple of years ago... But not many bands can say they were attacked on stage by their own fans – on their own headline tour.
Yeah, you read correctly – Sykes managed to goad the crowd into jumping on stage and fighting him, in the middle of their own concert last Sunday night. The gig, in Salt Lake City, Utah, was postponed for 30 minutes while Sykes recuperated, before going on with around 20-30 members of crowd removed.
The fight started just minutes after the band took to the stage – they got half way through their first song before coming to a stop after Sykes was enraged after seemingly being hit by a bottle. After repeatedly telling the fans who had thrown the bottles to ‘fuck off home’ and calling them ‘pussies’, he told them that they “have to come up here for a fight” before launching his own barrage of bottles at the perpetrators.
He then made the mistake of inviting them up on stage one more time, an offer which around 10 angry crowd members happily accepted. Remarkably surprised, Sykes was taken back as he was rushed by the concert-goers, with one of the band’s guitarist apparently smashing one of them with his instrument. The trouble continued for another couple of minutes before most of the attackers headed for the ‘Exit’ doors. You can see it all in the video below – it all kicks off around 1:30 minutes in.
So, what was it that pissed off the paying customers? Was it the Nottingham weeing-on-a-fan incident? Or did they simply really, REALLY not like the BMTH BBQ Sauce? Tell us what you think of the affair in the comment section below. Also, check out Bring me the Horizon's UK tour dates below - they're touring with Machine Head in December. Bring bottles, I heard Oli loves them.
