Welsh rockers Stereophonics have announced three special Christmas shows at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.
The Stereophonics recently revealed that they are currently working on a brand new album with the promise to head out on the road and tour it extensively. After a year of writing and recording, the Stereophonics revealed the news while performing to a crowd in Oxford during the Summer.
A source at the Oxford gig told Stereoboard: “The (Stereo)phonics put on a strong, energetic performance and were really enjoying themselves on stage. Then Kelly the singer started talking about the new album being done and said they would be putting on a huge tour to go with it. I can’t wait to see them again!”
The new album will see the Stereophonic hoping to head straight back to the forefront of the music scene with what will be their eighth studio album. It will also be the band’s first release since 2009’s ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’, and their first to follow the death of ex-drummer Stuart Cable.
These new Christmas shows will most likely see the Stereophonics preview some brand new material from the upcoming new album as well as playing all their old “classics”. The three-night residency has been dubbed as a “3 Night Stand” with shows taking place on December 19th, 20th and 21st.
