Under the leadership of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mike Scott, The Waterboys have announced a UK tour for March 2012.
Despite an almost continual change to their line-up since 1983, The Waterboys are still going strong. Mike Scott's intense presence and lyrics are distinctive characteristics of the band.
Having harboured the idea for twenty years, Mike Scott set twenty W.B. Yeats poems to music in a project that evolved into a show entitled An Appointment With Mr. Yeats. The Waterboys held the world premiere from 15th to 20th March 2010 in Yeats's own theatre, the Abbey Theatre, Dublin.
Following rave reviews 'An Audience With Mr. Yeats' was released as an album earlier this year in September.
