Irish Solo Artist Don Scannell Releases Video to New Single – Watch Now

Saturday, 29 October 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Irish solo artist Don Scannell has released a video for his latest single ‘Mystery’, which is due out on 5th December. The track is the lead single from his debut album ‘Three Silver Pieces’, which is out now. Watch the video for ‘Mystery’ below.

Speaking about his new single, Don said: “It’s one human being seeing another go from a troubled state, to a point of genuine happiness, then insisting they celebrate the fact. I think most adults will have experienced dark days until persisting through to days that ‘glow’. The mystery aspect is the awe the helper experiences in seeing how someone can change over time, almost miraculously, and the mystery of loving someone despite their condition.”

The video for ‘Mystery’ features puppets from London’s Little Angel Theatre operated by Canadian puppeteer Ronnie Le Drew. Le Drew is known for his work operating puppets in films such as ‘Labyrinth’ and ‘The Muppet’s Christmas Carol’, and for the character Zippy in the children’s TV series ‘Rainbow’. He currently works on shows and educational courses at Little Angel Theatre.

‘Three Silver Pieces’ features contributions from cellist Roger Holtom and Asian Dub Foundation bass player Martin Savale.
