Noel Gallagher Rubbishes Claims That Journalist Was Banned From His Gig

Mancunian rock icon Noel Gallagher has cast away claims that he banned a reporter from entering one of his shows in Scotland after the writer published an unfavourable review of his new band’s eponymous debut ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’.

The rumoured story had been circulating the net for most of yesterday, with the Scotsman claiming his previously provided guestlist entry had been revoked because he hadn’t complimented the band’s first effort. But, after finding out about the speculation, Noel addressed the claims through his tour-diary, which he calls ‘Tales From the Middle of Nowhere’.

Noel wrote: “There was also a story in one of the local newspapers that I’d had some hairdresser-turned-journalist BANNED from the gig for apparently shitting on my album? A ludicrous claim. As you might guess, I’m not an avid reader of the local Edinburgh News. Sounds like someone trying to make a name for himself, if you ask me.”
