Following a show at London's KOKO at the end of the month, Sunderland band Field Music will play a handful of live UK shows in late-February 2012.
Hailing from the same North East scene that spawned The Futureheads and Maximo Park, Field Music. Comprising of three members (Andrew Moore plus brothers Peter and David Brewis) and an ever-shifting crew of local luminaries, Field Music are could be regarded as a North East supergroup. Peter was The Futureheads original drummer, Barry Futurehead was in one of the many early Field Music line-ups and sometime drummer Tom English is on loan from Maximo Park.
Earlier this week, on 1st November, Field Music announced the forthcoming release date of their fourth album, 'Plumb'. Set for release on February 13th 2012 the album is preceded by the song '(I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing', available as a free download from their website www.field-music.co.uk.
