We Are Scientists and ex-Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows and Editors’ frontman Tom Smith have announced details of their first live date as Funny Looking Angels – the duo’s new collaboration and Christmas album. The one-off gig will take place at London’s Islington Union Chapel on Monday 12th December – see below for tickets.

Smith and Burrows’ festively-themed debut album ‘Funny Looking Angels’ is due for release on 28th November and will feature an assortment of original tracks and cover versions. The duo recently released a new video showing them performing the album’s title track in the studio – watch below.

Among the tracks that Smith and Burrows have covered on ‘Funny Looking Angels’ are Yazoo’s ‘Only You’, Black’s ‘Wonderful Life’, The Longpigs’ ‘On and On’ and Delta’s ‘Funny Looking Angels’, from which the pair borrowed their album title. The album also features a number of guest contributors including Danish folk singer Agnes Obel.

Smith and Burrows have also revealed that the live date in December will feature contributions from a number of their friends, who will be helping them to make it an eventful pre-Christmas show.
