Kasabian Announce Special New Years Eve Show At London's O2 Arena & Tickets

Kasabian have announced details of a special New Years Eve show at London's O2 Arena.

The Leicestershire band will headline the O2 Arena gig on 31st December, capping-off a show that will include performances from Chase and Status as well as a DJ set from Radio 1's Zane Lowe. Kasabian Tickets for the New Years Eve show are onsale from 9am on Friday 8th November, priced from £20.12 + fees.

Frontman Tom Meighan and Co commented on the forthcoming New Year's Eve party, saying. "It's been a hell of a year for us and we can't think of a better way to celebrate New Year's Eve than with our fans, friends and family by our side. We promise to set the O2 on fire! Bring on 2012!"

In other news, Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan recently suggested that a stadium tour could be on the way for the rockers, however the band have not yet confirmed anything as they prepare to play some of the UK's biggest arenas this Winter.

Having recently released their fourth studio album ‘Velociraptor!’, Tom Meighan and guitarist Serge Pizzorno think the band are ready for bigger things.

“I can’t say anything about it, but time will tell,” the pair revealed. “It would really be something if we could play Wembley Stadium, to be big enough to headline there? Magnificent. Who knows what will happen next year.”

“It would have been brilliant to play Glastonbury but all we need is a phone call from Michael Eavis and we’ll be there for 2013. One thing I really want to do before all this ends is to headline Glastonbury as we’ve always had an incredible time playing there. Hopefully it’ll happen.”
