Noel Gallagher Resurrects Legal Battle With Brother

Following the lawsuit which was opened and then closed by Liam Gallagher earlier this year, Noel will now apparently take his turn to sue Liam after the Beady Eye frontman allegedly attacked him with a guitar and left abusive messages to his wife.
Earlier this summer, Noel, who is currently enjoying success with his new band’s debut album, accused Liam of pulling out of a V Festival performance because he was ‘hungover’, instead of suffering from Laryngitis – which is what fans were told. Things got fiery between the two and the accusations outraged Liam, who promised fans that he wanted “Oasis fans and others who were at V to know the truth.” Liam went on to file a lawsuit against Noel – until Noel apologised, admitting Liam was suffering from a throat infection at the time of the gig.
After that revelation, the case was dropped and hidden away – until today. But this time, it’s Noel who’s taking to the courts in an attempt to get legal justice over his brother. According to the Daily Mirror, Noel will be attempting to sue Liam after he apparently left harassing messages on his wife’s answer machine – as well as attacking Noel with a guitar. He also claims that although Liam did have Laryngitis prior to the show, he was up drinking and smoking into the early hours of the night before.
One court document written by Noel’s team reads: “The claimant had a history over the years of not only throat problems and of pursuing such an incompatible lifestyle, but of treating Oasis fans and the defendant with disrespect by disrupting gigs, including walking off stage, assaulting them and generally acting irresponsibly.”
The new move will most likely result in Liam reopening his case against Noel – meaning that, unless they decide to put their differences aside, they’re in for a lengthy court battle. Stereoboard will keep you up-to-date on the Gallagher’s legal war as more news surfaces.
