The Stone Roses To Play Budapest's Sziget Festival

Manchester’s legendary Stone Roses have been confirmed to play Budapest's Sziget Festival nr. 20.

The Stone Roses are one of the pioneers of guitar pop’s ‘Madchester’ era, ruling the scene of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Their comeback was announced earlier this year in October and quickly hit major music media headlines with the plan of their forthcoming world tour.

The first triple-gig of the tour is set for Heaton Park in Manchester, with the initial 2 nights selling out in less than 15 minutes. Not a bad sign, considering the capacity of 150.000. Another interesting fact, The Stone Roses record sales grew with an unbelievable 1000% after announcing the reunion.

The Stone Roses UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows:

Fri June 29th 2012 - Heaton Park, Manchester
Sat June 30th 2012 - Heaton Park, Manchester
Sun July 1st 2012 - Heaton Park, Manchester
Fri July 6th 2012 - Balado Airfield, Kinross-Shire
Thu July 5th 2012 - Balado Airfield, Kinross-Shire

The Stone Roses Tickets are onsale now.

The Stone Roses recently announced via their Facebook page that they’ve signed two new record deals, guaranteeing their highly-anticipated third album release for the near future.

Budapest's Sziget Festival takes place on Óbudai Island from 6th - 13th August 2012.
