The Wanted Hoping To Crack The US With Channel 4 Documentary

Pop boyband The Wanted are the latest British export to attempt to crack America – and they’re planning to do so with an army of cameras and directors to send them on their way.

The five-piece are taking the likes of Channel 4 with them to make a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the group as they make their way across the pond for a stateside tour, after they began getting small levels of recognition on US radio.

“’Glad You Came’ has just been added to the playlist on Kiss FM in LA, so that’s about 40 adds in America now,” band-member Tom Parker told the Daily Star. “It’s growing really fast for us. We’re speaking to a really big management so once that deal is done and we get a few more radio adds I think it’s going to really take off.”

His bandmate Nathan Sykes continued on to talk about the documentary, which is set to go ahead soon. “It’s going to be all the stuff leading up to the tour so we’re gonna be panicking like hell about the tour, going to America before that, then we have three days rehearsal before we start our UK arena tour.”

The lads are already familiar with a certain female American star – after they were pictured chilling with Britney Spears after her recent UK tour.
