Organisers of Ireland’s Oxegen music festival have announced that 2012’s festival will not be going ahead, and that they will be returning in 2013.
The large festival, which sees around 60,000 fans attend a year, will not be rocking up Punchestown Racecourse in Naas this year, and will instead be replaced by a Stone Roses concert in Dublin, on July 5th, a day prior to when the festival would have taken place. Fortunately for Scottish fans, it’s sister festival T in the Park will still be taking place, with The Stone Roses announced as the first headliner.
An official statement from organisers MCD read: “Oxegen like Glastonbury is taking a year off in 2012 and will be back July 2013. Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas & peaceful New Year. Keep rockin' in 2012 and we will see you in 2013.”
If you were thinking of attending Oxegen, and are still after your summer fix of rock, check below for either Stone Roses or T in the Park tickets.
