Soul-singing superstar Adele is on the road to recovery now, and has already begun receiving ‘basic vocal training’ – as well as giving up alcohol (well, at least for Christmas).
The world-famous ‘Someone Like You’ singer was forced to cancel her whole US tour earlier this year after suffering from a benign polyp, which required her to go under the knife. Now, following the unfortunate ordeal, Adele is hoping to get straight back into routine, and is already attending vocal lessons to restore her voice to full health.
A source close to the singer told UsMagazine: “Adele is in a great place at the moment... She recently started some basic vocal training but she's taking it slowly. She's not going out raving or drinking. It's going to be really quiet.
“She wants to keep a low profile. She's hoping the first half of next year can be pretty low-key - no concerts, TV shows, magazine interviews, music or anything like that. As she puts it, she wants to just take it easy and enjoy a well deserved break, with no pressure to record or perform.”
We wonder how easy it’ll be for Adele to give-up the drink – we’ve seen her tour rider, and it asked for bottles of ‘the very best red wine’, Marlboro Lights and 12 bottles of the very best European beer – and, staying true to Britain, she said ‘North American beer is NOT acceptable!’
