Rihanna: 'All Female Solo Artists Are Different'

Barbados-born beauty Rihanna has told press that she thinks there is no other singer in her league – but only in terms of her style.

Although she has no reason to be modest, after smashing dozens of sales records and being named as the biggest selling digital artist of all time, Rihanna told Look Magazine that she thinks all female artists are great in their own, unique way – although she does admit that everyone one else in the industry should be considered competition.

“There's nobody really in my league,” Rihanna told the magazine. “There's competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both. Beyoncé is a great artist and I feel honoured to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we're different performers with different styles.”

She then went on to praise Madonna, too, telling Look “She [has] reinvented her style and music with success every single time, and at the same time remained a real force. She's fantastic.”

You can catch Rihanna live this July as she headlines Hyde Park’s Wireless Festival. If you need tickets, check the dates and details below.
